Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is Starting Soon!  This program is available to girls in the 3rd through 5th Grade.  No running experience required!

We have 15 available slots available!

Inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy & confident

Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based positive youth development program.  Guided in conversations & running games by trained, volunteer coaches, girls learn life skills, grow in self-confidence, develop as a team and connect to the joy of physical activity.

The culminating event of the program is the Girls on the Run 5K on June 2nd at Freedom Plaza, which they complete with an adult running buddy. Crossing the finish line is a defining moment for the girls when they realize that even the seemingly impossible IS possible.

The program is 12 weeks and we cover 20 lessons.  The team meets twice a week after school starting at 3:30pm.  The season begins the first week in March and ends on June 2nd at the 5K.

Please see Mrs. Oxendine or Mrs. Brown or email us for an application and more information.
