Science Fair Schedule

Hello Payne Family,

As we get ready for the Science Fair on April 25th, all students  have their boards and should be working diligently on their project.  Please support them as they work to turn them in no later than April 19th.  The Projects for 3rd-5th grade will be judged on April 25th and parents can come to view projects from 4:30-6pm in the Auditorium and participate in the awards reception at 5pm.

East City Bookshop Fundraiser for Payne

 

Hello,

On Wednesday, April 11th there will be a Book Fair at East City Bookshop (http://www.eastcitybookshop.com/) from 4:30-7:30. Stop by, tell your friends and neighbors to stop by – 20% of all sales go to Payne!

Mr. Henry’s Restaurant (http://www.mrhenrysdc.com/) is right down the street from the book store, and is going to do a “Payne Night” at their restaurant that same night. Stop by for dinner before or after your book shopping, mention Payne, and a % of the total bill will go to Payne.

Pennies for Patients

Thank you to the Payne Community so far for donating to our fundraiser for Leukemia and Lymphoma.  The school’s goal is $3,000.  Each classroom has been collecting change and donations and please keep them coming.  You can also donate online by going to http://www.studentseries.org/find-your-school and selecting Payne Elementary.  Thursday, March 1st is the deadline to donate.  We appreciate your support and please send all change to your child’s classroom teacher.
